This project involved the complete design of a classic mystery novel by R. Austin Freeman. I created a custom book cover and interior layout that visually communicates the suspenseful and dramatic nature of the story.

The goal was to modernize the visual identity of the book while keeping its vintage, noir-inspired tone. I used a limited color palette with high contrast, simplified geometric shapes, and stylized typography to evoke the mood of secrecy and nighttime intrigue.

The process included developing a bold cover illustration using flat graphic elements and a consistent typographic system throughout the pages. I designed both the jacket and the internal layout, focusing on readability, visual consistency, and immersive storytelling through design.
